Are redline tires or inserts available locally from Airspeed? or anywhere else?
-
Theres a product at most hardware stores it a thick rubber paint to cover the handles of tools it come in red ,white and a bunch of other colors. It will stick to a well prepped tire. Mask your red line the size you want reduce it with zyleen and spray. And it will not crack or turn yellow.

if you cant get any from airspeed, try this guy.

i've heard nothing but good things about him and his business...and he's fairly close.
btw, redlines would look super cool. i've often thought about getting a set too.

redline are a nice tire, i have a set for a 68 camaro, but they are too big for vw, that will be your biggest prob with finding these tires, there is a tire place in cloverdale that might be able to get them for you
