Hey guys,
I'm out now stomping around looking for a good bodyman to basically do all the body work to my moms 1930 model A. Long story short the guy that was set up to do it has fled the country and left his shop with his customers car's inside. My buddys 323I was left outside in the dew a couple weeks back and then surface rust popping up where there was virtually no primer. WE ended up breaking into that body shop spending 60 man hours fixing the body guys shitty body work(fender lips that were supposed to be rolled were pizza cutter cut then hammered). Anyways I need someplace to do all the metal work and at least prime the sucker. I have a painter lined up but no booth...
Can anybody help brother out?

Speaking of body work, James Jr; how's the body coming on the beetle??
-
all done, painted, and body just got mated to the pan. take a look at actop20 for all the pics. turned out pretty damn good.

I gotta say James Jr., I'm impressed with your progress, that is going to be one sweet ride!!

thanks guys. the rest of the assembly should be done in a couple weeks. just have to wait on all my seals, find some glass for my doors, and the one thing holding me up is not having a motor for the car that doesnt leak! and with having it close to being done i dont want to have to wait and save up the cash for the money. oh well not much i can do...wait it is!

Thanks Silas
Things are swamped on my end. On a car of such vintage, I'd probably hike the restoration costs up too high... But I do have a lot of local experience with the old-old Fords... You ought to seek out a muscle car type of resto shop for a job on that old timer. I just did a 67 4 spd 396 Chevelle SS this summer and a 1951 Ford F1 flathead V8 truck last year. I don't like American cars! Especially muscle cars... BUT that's only when it comes to working on them- a Chevelle is a very fun car to ummm drive! The old truck reminded me of an old bus or early beetle- very mechanical and just plain cool, but you think buses are a lot of work sheeeesh.

I highly recommend Jason at Moonlight Restorations. He is doing the paint and body on my convertible and what he has done so far is incredible. He is extremely talanted and does amazing work. The drive up to Salmon Arm is well worth it.

ALWAYS I mean ALWAYS good to shop around young man. Find someone that you feel you can work with and that seems to do the kind of work you would want done. Remember sometimes in this industry you get what you pay for! Some of these boys have some serious skills and have posessed them since before I was an itch in my daddy's pants.

Hey guys,
Search is still on. I'm checking out a couple places to see what \"fits right\" and what I feel most comfortable with.
We will see how it turns out.
