princess auto had and may still have rolling eng stands
on sale for 40 bucks i bought one works great except
the adapter that connects the eng to the stand is some sort
of universal adapter and does not lean nicely toward spliting the case
i can't configure it to match up all the mounting bolts only some
it holds the eng just fine but i'll be looking for a vw specific adapter soon
nice work on the car looks great so far:rockon:

Shane,

If it doesn't have to be a roller , a work mate works very well also. I was suprised at how easy it was to work on the engine with mine. My rolling engine stand was buried in the shed, and I was lazzy so I used the workmate, I think I will allways use the workmate now.

Buy the PA one for 40 and fit the bench mount to it! Best of both worlds! (and an easy fit)
