Post by: CONTRA on October 05, 2005, 04:28:42 PM
I am thinking of buying a '71 VW bus.  body is in great shape and so is the engine... the only thing is it has two bench seats. I want a camperized style bus.  ANyone has any info on installing benches, sinks, cold box's, beds, shelves, cupboards etc.... please reply with any information...

thanks alot.

Personally, if the 71 bus you are considering is a deluxe model (the first 3 digits of the VIN# should be 221), which it sounds like it might be. I would not convert it to a camper. The 71 deluxe (in original condition) is considered to be the most desireable of the baywindow vans.  Something to consider?

Hi, I've got a westy interior that will be up for sale shortly for very cheap.
I'm going to be away for the weekend, but if you are interested, let me know.
I'm not entirely sure what will be included, but here is a list of a few of the parts.

sink & icebox unit
rear bench seat
cabnets
pop top & luggage rack

I can give a better list next week.
