Title: Hot Vw's
Post by: Matt on September 26, 2005, 04:26:39 PM
It's not like I don't have enough issues as it is, but I'm looking for a specific issue from a couple months back, it had a light green colored notchback with grey 5 spoke american racing torque thrust wheels, and a god-awful brown plaid interior. I'm willing to buy it off you, if you wanna sell it. or just copy the article if you don't. I can't remember what month it is in though.....

i believe that that car was also featured in ultravw sometime this year. built by tim hesse in florida.

this is what a quick thesamba.com search came up with.

Wow, very inspiring pictures. Makes me wish my car were on the road.
Matt,
You and i spoke a while ago about a spare floor pan that you had wanted some peices off of. I have two pan halves that i finished cutting out of the floor for my 69 notch. The reason why i am replacing them is because the outer flange was badly rusted but main body of the pans are pretty decent. If you are iterested in these parts you can have them for free other wise they are going on the scrap pile. They are sandblasted . If you are interested let me know.

I gotta figure out how he got those back wheels to fit. dammit that looks good, I can't wait. Except mine will be 911 powered!!

hey jonny, don't huck the pans yet. I just picked up a pan but the main pieces I need are gone on that. I will for sure pick them up, name the time and place and beverage of choice.

UNfortunately Matt, im pretty sure he has a different offset on the wheels as you do. When i last drove my notch i had 205/60 on the rear with short axles and no rubbing!!!

the thing is there isn't alot of choice in offset for the 15\" d spoke.

Matt, there isnt much in the way of back spacing unless you get a pair if the porsche ones with positive offset. IM sure we can figure something out
