Way to go imortalized forever  Was it a pretty thourough contract they signed to take your bus and did you offer to drive and do stunt work :)
Let us know when the movie is on DVD
-
I was reading a story in the National Post on the weekend about a recent scam back east - Fake contracts, big \"money\" promises etc... you hand over your car and that's the last you see of it....
Just kidding dood - Congrats!
-
I hope it wasn't towed with the cover on it, Not good for the paint ................
-
Hey Darren,
they did tow it with the cover on..... I didn't even think about that. You mean the cover flapping and scuffing the paint right?
Maybe I should call them and get them to tow it home without the cover on? what do you think? I know they were concerned about stone chips from the truck.
I have no experience with towing vehicles.

Sweet! now I'm even happier I sold that to you!! If you don't mind me askin, how much money do you get from this deal? and how long have they had it??
-
Lets hope they don't do to your Bus what they did to my friend's nicely restored Thing. They drilled holes in the front quarter to mount a camera!

I rented my vert to the guys that were shooting the Sea Hunt series years ago in victoria. Polished and shined it up only to have them put black tape on all the chrome and spray the car with \"movie dust\" to make it look like a beater. The money was good but it wasn't what I had in mind when they asked.Wayne
-
cool, these guys don't mind spending the cash.
I rented my vw caddie to the guys doing the Terry Fox movie here in newfoundland this summer. they gave me $250 for the day, and they asked me to drive it in the movie so they payed me another $250 for that.
On another note, I also did some work on some picture vehicles, man the shit i did to those.lol any broken or chipped glass, i just beat out with a hammer, fixed any holes with duct tape and sprey foam, and I painted all the cars with what ever i could find. But these cars wer junk to begin with , and their only used as backgroung military vehicles. it was filmed in Gander NL it's called Above and Beyond.
oh, and the Terry Fox movie will be on CBC this weekend. I'm the guy driving the vw caddie.

Well, I don't think I'll ever rent my van again.
They promised to repair the damage, but what a pain in the ass.
I whould have listened to my gut on this one, not my little bank account. What they paid me is mot worth the heart and headache.

That stinks!!!
Hope ya get it fixed with not too much hassle.
-
How the heck did they do that?
A friend of friend rented his 66 lincoln convertable out for a music video and it got trashed and had a guitar thrown through the windshield.... Turns out that later the groups lead singer(Gob) bought it and turned it into a overhauled version of what it once was. But what heart ache.
Make em' pay clark!
-
That sucks, Clark. At least they are fixing it and hopefully you got some decent cash.
Kirin, it wasn't a guitar it was Theo's knee that went went through the windshield. He was trying to climb over onto the hood while they were filming a driving sequence with a camera mounted on the hood. It can be seen in the video (I don't remember the name of the song). There was also cigar burns on the seats and some other damage. I know the owner of the car (at the time) and I was in Tofino during the video shoot. I actually helped them get some of the surfing shots for the video.

Very interesting Bill. I remembered something about upholstery and something through the windshield so \"guitar\" sounded right. Small freaking world though...
Clark I hope all the best in getting your bus right again...
