Title: Heat In A Van?
Post by: silas on November 12, 2003, 04:18:33 PM
wasnt to sure where to post this, so i put it here. posting for friends.

they need to know how to get heat in their 72 van. i dont know anything else about the vehicle, i've never seen it so i dont know what kind of shape it's in.

are there heater channels in vans? can you fit a gas heater in there?

what kind of options are there, how much work is involved and what kind of prices are they looking at?

any and all advice and knowledge is greatly appreciated.

cheers

silas

Hey Silas, I know in my 76 there is a heater channel that runs up the center of the van. I believe the gas heater goes inside the engine bay...tons of room in there.
Hope this helps.

1) get gas can

2) pour inside van

3)light

Instant heat! :D

There are some propane space heaters available as well as gas heaters. The cost may be a liitle high but then so are new heaterboxes.
