Title: Choke Cable Wont Come Out

is there a trick to getting the choke cable out? 56 chassis, completely stripped and ready to blast & prime, but the choke cable seems to be stuck in the tunnel. i pulled from the back and pulled from the front but it wont budge.

i wont be needing it so i could just clip the ends off, but if anyone knows how to get it out, please let me know.

did you ever get the cable out?
i'm sure mine was full of lube when i pulled it out(it came out by pulling no problems)
if is really stuck mabey try a little lube to loosen it up

thanks russ, that's a good idea, i'll try the lube

i know it hasn't been used for the 5 years that i've had the car, so it's probably just jammed from lack of use.
