the lag on this site has been horrible the last little while.i am sure it is accounting for all the tripple posts ect.
anybody know what the problem is?

i'm glad someone mentioned it... i wasn't sure if it was my crappy computer acting up more than normal.

Yup database is to blame - plus the entire site has been undergoing changes so some stuff might have got messed up with it from that.

ftr, the small amount of time i spend on here these days has been trouble free. no problems here.

No, I've noticed it, too. Both at home and at the shop. For sure the database could be cleaned up, and I'll definately have a look at that. I haven't touched the code that actually runs the forum. The shopping cart's search feature doesn't seem to have slowed at all, so I'm not really sure. The only thing I changed in a big way was to add the videos, so maybe it's a bandwidth issue. I did notice our web host's mailserver was down the other day for maintenance, so maybe they're goofing around with the webserver as well...

I dont know, okay? There, I said it.
From now on, it will always be my policy to blame the computer.
