The Twilight Drive-In is finally ready to re-open. As the Lower Mainland's ONLY surviving drive in, it could really use some positive word of mouth to land on its feet.

This tradition in movie-going is in danger of permanently disappearing, so if you know someone who is a big nostalgia/movie buff, send them the link and let them know that the Twilight is about to reopen. (They used almost all the funding from the Hillcrest to build the new location, apparently, so marketing will be pretty slim for the first bit - I imagine word of mouth will be their lifeline).

Maybe I'm blind, but i tried to find an opening date and couldn't see it  :blink:

What date is it opening?

If it's tonight i'm all over it

Was going to be last weekend . But they have to finish the access road .
that is all I know. :)

let me make a couple of calls, i'll see what i can find out. apparently the guy opening it is from port moody, and we did a story on it... i'll nail the guy down for info.

an article was just in the langley times i think...

said they were opening asap, maybe by last friday... but i'd think they'd be goin by this friday at the latest...

they're screen collapsed last year after just making it! bummer for them! they were supposed to open last august!!

the way the weather's going, tho, it might actually be good timing. with summer coming so late, sept/oct will probably be great drive-in weather...
