Hey Guys,
My new ride Carcar got failed at VI today. One of my drain plugs in the floor pans is hosed and it needs about a 6x4 inch patch in it. If my body guy can't do it within the next week or so I'm going to need another options.....
Just keeping my horizons open.

i just registered with air speed today. i'm new to vw's, bought a 69 notch in april of 2004 and it's still a work in progress. i can help you out with your welding needs if you would like. i'm a certified bodyman at a medium sized bodyshop in langley with what i consider a really good rep. can probably help you out saturday or one night early next week. lots of spare metal at my shop so all you have to do strip the neccessary interior parts and bring your car down. if you are interested reply and i will check from time to time.

Lol..
Matt,
Previous owner was a 35 year old 6,5 280 lb german guy and he named it carcar. It has stuck.. I've also applied for \"BTLKILR\" Or \"BTLETR\" License plates...
Don't you love me?
Jon I'm definetly interested man. I just want to spend a couple hundred bucks and have some well formed solid butt-welded Panels we should talk..

i'm at springman's saturn from 8:00 to 5:00 monday to friday. drop by if you have your car in the area. just ask for me with one of the detail guys on the west side of the building. the dealership is right across the road from gold key pontiac (its a kind of low key building so alot of people don't know we are there). if i can get a look at the car we can figure out what we need to do and go from there.

Hey Jon.
Unfortunatly I have to work tommorow therefore taking the car from Ladner to Abbotsford. I probably won't get off work till 5:00 (first day on the job). Maybe we can figure out something next week? To really see the rust(its just part of a floor pan and a bit of a frame rail) it needs to be up on a lift... Or jackstands..
Anyways let me know how you want to procede further.

I know a REALLY good welder in Abby that works for a very reasonable rate.
I'm sure Bugsmell, sick-d-three and rustybus can attest to that.
PM me if you're intersted

Okay guys,
I will make it through this weekend and see what happens with my Chopshop. If it falls through I take off Wednesday and if possible I'd like to get it fixed before then. One small thing I forgot to mention was the welding on the floor pan is kind of close to the fuel lines... But we'll be fine if we take proper percautions and not act stupid. Maybe we need to get Safety officer James out to approve it...
Anyway..

$100 for a 2 hour call out - 45 an hour for anything after 2 hours..... Or beer....
-
Is this you offering James? If you are I think I might take you up on it. I just want it fixed right and my bimmer waterproof again...
-
James cant weld.
-
I guess he can't balance fan's either huh...

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the offers but my normal body guy/monk will start on the car monday after I Deliver it completly stripped. Turns out one of the holes is stock(Thanks Midway tire)... but yes there is one toast drain plug... Anyways the cars on the way to be fixed and better then stock:P
