Title: Laws
Post by: Stevie on May 01, 2005, 01:53:22 PM
does any body know if there is a law stating the we must have the engine lid on our bugs while cruising around town??

i found the laws about lowering but not engine lid,

oh and just for you people, the MVA states...

that your car may be lowered to any height, as long as no part of the car is lower then the lowest part of your rim.
... so with low pro's you can pretty much be an inch off the ground and still be legal...

I don't know about the decklid, but there is a law about how your licence plate is mounted, and illuminated.  If you don't comply, they will get you.

Other places ive lived usually have laws about moving parts in the engine bay being covered. Usually effects the Baja crew, i guess it might be the same here...

yes but 100 mile is a different place, when I lived there, the police would come and talk to you personally about things you did, I had a habit of speeding around and they would just tell me to slow down.......

the rule on vehicle hight is called the \"scrub line\"... and the mva is online...many of my rod friends drive w/ no fenders or hood w/ no probs but they can take you off the road and force an inspection for anything \"not stock\" if they want to be dicks
