Damn, Maine is only a few hundred miles away. Came with a Hazet round tool kit too  :o Hell of a find.

You know, I don't think there are any finds like that to be found around here. If we did find something around here it would  be a big rotton pos. Yeah Yeah I know people's friends find stuff, but all I seem to find is rusty bay windows :(

As for the gas tank, I hope there is no gas in it. Mike dumped out the rotton gas from inside the 58's tank like 2 months ago (Car hasn't been driven since 63 so that gas is ooooooooold) and omg the smell. It still freaken stinks in our yard.

WOW!  :blink: That guy had horseshoes shoved way up his a$$ to score a car like that. Good to see that they haven't all been plucked up yet.
His story on the samba forum reminds me of when I located and bought my Barndoor single cab last year. The thrill of the hunt! Keep looking guys..they are out there. :D

i have located a barn find but the old fart that owns it wont get rid of it. Its a pretty much rust free split window kombi bus i dont know what year it is but it has a single port and the small back window, its been sitting since 86 and the motor still turns over by hand. It hasnt been hit in the front oh and has an ambulance fan oh well i guess i'll just have to keep harrasing him. :ph34r:

I know where a 23-window deluxe sunroof bus is. :ph34r:
It's in pieces but they all look to be inside it but definitely a project.
I'll probably go check it out this week and see if it's \"worth anything\" to the owner.

I remember when i bought my 57 vert, I gave him a healthy deposit and ran home got a trailer and on the way back there was a line up of cars in his yard........And he was trying to sell it again.......Asswipe.
Mind you, He did say he felt really bad......
Kind of like poeple who wave after they almost kill you....
