He bought the rusty 64 bug we had......had a few problems getting it running but he did drive away. Anyone know if it made it more than 3 blocks.

The bug probably made it however the seat fell out half way up the Coq...
So if you see some dude hitch-hiking with a seat in his hands , pick the dood up ;)

Phone call made it through........he is halfway between Savona and Kamloops......all is well.....so far

Home safe and sound. Beetle was a champ. On behalf of the responses I have named him Waldo. A VERY big thanks to Geoff and Danny. The trip was rather uneventful. Had to stop to pick up fuses for the headlights but other than that a perfect trip.

I didn't have my digital camera with me so I had to make do. Here is a pic of me and the Bug half way up the Fraser Canyon #1 Hwy.(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mosbackyard.com%2Fgifs%2FImage1.jpg&hash=ce267f5f48bf9a66826170215883293c79390afb)

where'd ypu drive it to ? and how where the hills with the 1300
-
I drove it from Airspeed to Salmon Arm. I took the Fraser Canyon (#1 TCH). I didn't have any problems with any of the hills. In fact I was only passed once by a tractor trailer going up a hill and he was empty. Stopped for fuel once in Lytton (1/2 tank) and arrived home with 1/2 a tank still in the car. About $28.00 in fuel over all. AND NO TOLL!!!!!
