Just had to vent to all my other VW friends. This past weekend I had parked my van behind my house in the alley for the night in Kitsilano. Anyways I have done this many times, I guess early Sat morning a disgruntled neighbour called a tow truck on me and had me towed. Fair enough, whatever. But when i went to pick up my van from a distance I noticed the muffler was hanging quite low, I walked closer and the muffler was on the ground, and I was puzzled. I look underneath and that F%^&ing tow truck driver smashed his ramp under my bus and pushed my muffler into the engine hanger which broke taking out the mount and bending the hanger. To say the least I was pissed. So I stand up and walked around the passenger side and what do I see, a 3 foot gouge down my quarter panel along with the corner of the deluxe trim ripped off. So I go back to the office and tell the kid working the desk and he's like \"You have to fill out this form\" I think ok but my van isnt moving now. Anyways long story short those Fu%^ers deny any wrong doing. So off to ICBC now to deal with those asses

Yup, thats pretty much the way it goes with them. Fackers towed my jetta in the summer without releasing the E-brake, resulting in some damage aswell. Ofcourse they wouldnt do anything, had me fill out the form, said i would get a call, no call was made.

dude i could have told you that. remember the engine lid on my '62 bus?? courtesy of Mundies towing.

If you have some pics of the van which show the muffler is not sitting on the ground and the side is not gouged i think you have a pretty good case...i'd take em to small claims court ....just for kicks!
They have harmed enough VW's....the madness must stop!!!
