So other than disneyland (ha ha) anyone been to the southern California area recently who can offer a few choice VW places to check out? I'll be driving with the family, and while they're spending the day with Mickey I might check some shops out! Don't know if the rental car can pull a nice 60's convertible back or not, who knows what I might find. By the way, any idea where a good midpoint to stop along the way might be? thanks

Hasn't anyone driven this route before? It's been a while for me, but can't remember the \"hot spots\" to go? I thought BFY was a fun place, then Johnny's speed and chrome, but might have to actually read some of the advertisments in Hot VW's! :)

gene berg enterprises, Heads up performance, Kymco. sorry, I don't know the addresses anymore. Try to find out if there is going to be a burger DKP meet when you are down there. its always a lot of fun, and usually there is a minimum of 100 or so VW showing up within a few hours, coming and going at different times.
oh, and if you are driving down, I suggest you hit some oregan dunes for some dune buggying.

We did Dissyland last summer and I planned one day of visiting VW shops. I just sat down one night with a Hot VW's and a map and found like 15 shops within an hour of Dissyland . The ones that I visited were only about fifteen min. from Dissyland..., Bergs , BFY , Heads up performance . There are more just as close but after a few hours of draging the wife and kids around to these places we(they) had had enough. If your there on the first sunday of the mounth go to the DKP burger meet. They have changed the location again just recently so I don't know where it is but I think it's very close to where the Dairyqueen was. Maybe someone here knows. Have fun!
