Title: Engine Assy Q's
Post by: Chris on February 10, 2005, 10:12:05 PM
So after all this time I finally managed to put some time into the assembly of my new motor

I am building a 1914, figure if I am going to f*** something up I will go small, anyway.

First question, did some reading but nothing really touched on this, I installed the new cam bearings and noticed that they dont fit in flush to the case, do I need to trim this and what method would you recommend?
I would think filing them flush would work but then I am not sure as to whether its needed, would they not press into place after closing the case?

You just press them into place with your fingers, The only one that may have a issue is the DBL thrust bearing, you may need to file a notch in the case to allow that one to fit.
