Hello everyone..
took a moment today to snap some pics of some of my new motor parts for anyone that has any interest in checkin them out!
what ya see is an AS41 case..clearanced..and welded up
a pauter cam..clearanced..
pauter 5.5\" rods.
pauter rev true 86mm crank
and some pauter 1.3:1 billet roller rockers..
those gears are getting swaped for straight cuts..and all the little bits and peices that ya dont see are hiding in boxes..just waiting for some pistions and cyls to show up..and my new heads.
it will be an 86X94mm motor.. damn near 2.4L
its a tight fit in the case but so far so good.
this one should be a screamer.

Looks like you need to change your SIG file now....
\"It's only about how big you build it\" :P

OK, Remeber this young one..... learn from the first one..... take it slow, do it once......and DRIVE LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!
-
LOL drive it like you stole it? that has been my license plate frame for the past 2 years..
im still gonna spend the winter tuning the motor thats in the car now..i want to see what i can do at the track with the 2007 before i tear it out for this motor.
but all in all...my 2007 turbo efi motor is a great street engine..better then most i would say..but not the best for outright HP...this one on the other hand.....will be an ugly lumpy street motor (i hope  ) but should haul some major ass in a straight line if i get it set up right!.

You should still use NOS with that slower setup cale.
Otherwise just be happy with the 10 sec your going to get.

Just keep the Rubber side down.... ;)

Hey Cale,
I had a 2443 a few years back and one thing I found was clearancing was a bitch, there were spots on the top of my case that were VERY thin... go slow!
-
the case work is done..actually i did not do it myself.. it was purchased from pauter ready to go...
there is actually ALLOT of meat left on the top of the case..way more than i expected..the case to crank clearance is right on the money though..you might be able to slide something the thickness of a credit card between the crank and the top of the case..
i think it has allot to do with the shape of the counterweights on the crank..
thanx for the heads up though..it might need a bit more work..just to get a little more clearance...but at the moment it all spins free...
how did that 2442 go for ya?

it went WAAAAAA WAAAAAA WAAAAAA - had a baby, never ran it before I sold it.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do i suppose..that musta been tough though.
we will see how this one goes when it comes time..

May I ask a Question?, just to be nosey.....why have you chosen to still use heli cut cam gears? you're clearly going to be running high spring tension on your valve train, which will put alot of pressure on the thrust cam bearing. You seem to be building everything else to the highest specs, just curious.....

Xmas cheer early today mike?????
Oooops........Actually, last night, hehehehe
-
I will be running striaght cuts..
im just trying to find a set that does not use those bunk off-set washers.
i remember seeing a set once that had advance/retard holes drilled in them..and it appeared that you could bolt the gear on in any selection of these holes to set your advance/retard...
if anyone knows what im talking about..and possibly who makes em..please let me know.
thanx

use the set with washers, as you will find nothing works out perfect .in the early mock up stages its easy to dial the cam in using one bolt and a small washer . then when you pull it apart you can see if any of the washers fit or you can make custom ones to line up.
-
The reason i wanted to run the set with no washers is because i want to dial my cam in at \"0\" advance/retard on the gear.. the cam i have is ground with 4
