I am restoring a 63 Bug convert.  I wanted to finish the pan this winter then start on the body. The concern I have is that the support rails need to be replaced on the body. I think the heater channels are good but can

Before you pull the shell off the pan, weld braces across the inside of the vehicle to ensure it wont twist and shift, especially across the door openings. Thats all I can think of, I know that when I do mine, I will probably go overboard on the bracing.
