Kim must have been stoked to see that roll in.... that looks like a Gkafer project ;)

Thanks for posting Matt. \"PROJECT RED SNAPPER\". 56 Fiat 600. Beleive it or not the body is pretty solid. factory suicide doors, Full sliding ragtop. The body is sitting on a early beetle pan. This is what is going to take the most work as it is unfinished. The motor is a 1600 dual port(still turns over). What I will be doing is, Big motor, full cage, Slicks, one color paint job, lowered in the front. Oh, Pointblank, Kim hasnt even commented on it yet. I think shes still in shock. I will post more pictures as I start into it. Thanks for looking. Brian.

Hmmm.
Cal-look Fiat    . I`m wondering if I could fit a chevette on to a Bug pan  .
That is going to be kick ass when you are done. I cant wait to hear what the announcer at Mission is going to say when you roll out the fiat, lay down some rubber and point the little stubby front end in the sky   .

Hey Gavin, I got the car in Fresno Calif. I found it in October when I was on my honeymoon.
-
Hey Brian did you get any of the hard to fiind parts lights 'bumpers 'latches and glass or are you going to comppletley redo it as you go . You better get on the Geoff wagen we want to see it's progress
CANY WAIT
If you need to sell it call me

Hey Moose, the car came complete. I have all the glass, taillight bezels, door handles, ect. The only thing that Im missing is the rear bumper. I did get another parts car. The whole car would not fit in the truck bed so we cut off the front and threw out the rest. I will not say as to when it will be done as I have learned that from other peoples mistakes.

I dont know that other fiat, hmmm, might have to find out about that one. as fro the one in the pic its mental on teh street! ...and on the strip he managaed to get all 4 wheels off the ground this year! its got a detachable steering wheel as Peter Englezos isnt a small bloke, 6ft something and 220+lbs.
good luck with the project red snapper!

Thank you mrsmythe.

I have seen those ripping up corners at the SOVERN races at Mission. They aren't the fastest, but they are definitely unique... What powers those typically??
Come to think of it, I have footage of one of the races... They have an interesting sound with the foot into it a bit... They compete against Formula Vees- Now--those things sound WAY cool!
-
Im not really sure what type of motor powers them as mine was already fitted with a VW power plant. I dont think they were ever intended to go fast though.

As referenced by the one in your signature with all four wheels off the ground :D

Brian will be tremblin after each pass I'm sure trying to keep going straight, Jees I hope you don't end up on your roof, or loosin your feet from going into a wall. I would think a roll cage could help with the fear, but still, I bet you will only put on a few passes due to the fear factor, even if you can pull a 12 second pass, it may be 1 of a few. The problem will be traction, and how you can stay in your lane for the first 1/8 mile.
You must like adrenalin.

Dont worry there buttercup. It will have a full cage before I take it down the track. As far as 12's go Im kinda hoping to do better than that. Time will tell I guess. Happy new year Kev.

Brian was showin me the motor he is goin with in his fiat. He was expecting some kickass times from it. New technology that is a secret.
