Title: Best Burgerjoint...
Post by: el_flechador on November 09, 2004, 10:59:56 AM
As i willl hopefully be mobile and legally on the road in about a month, i figure it is time to start planning a few places to cruise to or stop in at along the way.
After a recommendation from a pal im pretty much a regular at the burger place in the back of Save-on-Meats, definately the best burger and best value i've had here in Canada ,so far...Although not really a cruisable joint due to its location on Hastings around Cambie (the first time i went here myself and my girl were sprayed with CS gas!!!! for real.) it definately is the sheet when it comes to meat. Also good for people watching while sat at the old style curved lunch counter.
So come on people whats the word??

Im also mad for pancakes and a good spicey chilli

let the feasting begin

Have you ever gone to Fresgo's in Surrey/Vancouver and had a Mushroom burger? Gotta love those shrooms though.

The ultimate burger in Canada #3 in North America rated by some food magazine is the pender island ferry burger joint out of this guys trailer at the ferry terminal on pender island.  His burger is about $8.00 - $9.00, and about the size of a dinner plate, the best tasting burger with everything on it.

People make trips from all over and walk on the ferry just to have a burger there.

The best tasting burger I have ever had.

I think he is only open for the summer though, but I could be wrong, I have only been there in the summer time.
