Title: Looking For A Good Plater
Post by: Al Canuck on October 17, 2004, 09:11:51 PM
Hey Guys,

I need to have a set of 2002 bumpers re-chromed, and I'm just wondering if there is a \"favourite\" place to have chrome work done around here?

  Thanx,

     Al

Cloverdale, eh? Nice and close to my shop, which is a big plus! Thanx for the tip. I'll call them this week.

I'll find out where my Dad takes his stuff. He had been using a local shop (Lang/Clov) But they were way over priced. He has recently switched to a shop out in chilliwack or something. Its supposed to be the best work and a more reasonable price. I'll find out the name of that one and let ya know, for comparisons and such. Cheers

the did real nice work in a slow amount of time (depends on how much you have to do and how fast you need it,i was in no hurry)
and they take cash:)

Thanx guys. I went out to meet with Kaleb at Superior today, and will be dropping off a set of bumpers in the next few days. Seems like a good guy, and their work looks great. Price was a bit better than I was expecting.

Here's a little tip for you, regarding chrome paint. I'm not 100% sure how an aircooled VW tail light is assembled, but if the reflectors become tarnished or dim, clean them up, and use that \"chrome\" paint to refinish the insides of them. I do it with all my BMW's after the factory \"chrome\" wears off the reflectors. Works great.
