Title: Airspeed Spring Swap Meet

Just wanted to put a idea out to everyone.
We are thinking of putting  on a Spring VW swap meet here at AirSpeed in April. We would use the parking lot area and vender spots would be free to those who want to sell and swap. If we get a good turn out we will do one every other month thru the summer. We were thinking this would be a great way to get the  season off to a start, if you have any input or would like to contribute in some way let us know.

hey geoff.

i think that this is a great idea. i know i'll be shopping for parts for my 56 resto and also have some parts that i should unload. an airspeed swapmeet would be the perfect chance for all of us to help one another out.

also, have you thought of an airspeed forum classifieds?

I think it's a great idea, good chance to find parts people are hiding away and sell some un-needed stuff. What about a fall one seeing as alot of projects happen over the winter?

We thought of a fall one but with the weather being what it is here more chances than not we will be rained out.

We put on a spring swap meet here in Edmonton every year. I find it is a great idea, beacuse it gives a chance for all of us to bring out our junk to sell for one day, as most of us don't have a chance the rest of the year to get rid of our junk because we have show cars to worry about or we are running the show!!!!! It's also good becuase it gets everyone excited for the up coming season, as well you can find those pieces for your winter project.. :rockon: We call ours Bug Thaw and we hold it indoors usually in March but this year we are planning on moving it to April. So if you go ahead with it let us know so we don't overlap dates, and maybe some of us Air Riders will come and check it out.

I like that idea Geoff, I'm probably gonna buy some stuff for my car in the spring. Seeing how im not driving it right now im saving lots of money, and I would probably bring a wack of stuff myslef,  My dad is sick of me using his garage to store all my parts.

Looks like the first swap meet will be the second weekend in April, be sure to mark your calendars.....better yet be sure to get your new AirSpeed Calender and mark that! Availabe Nov.
