Title: Weekend Adventures

It's time to clean up the yard.  I started with removing the windows, then got ambitous.  By the time the sun went down I had the bus down to a floor.  I must say it's alot easier to work on the drivetrain without the vehicle in the way.  By next weekend there will be a roof over my doublecab.  Finally!!!!!!!

you should put click on mo's backyerd foor some of us dumbies it took me a minute to fing the link .Glad to see you didn't stop after we moved the roof don,t hesitate to call for some more lifting jobs or a trip to the dump . roof soon buddy :rockon:

People relax it was condemend off the road and was utilized to the fullest for parts and sheet metal  :huh: But next wweek we cut the barndoor and heb up stay tuned and a vespa just for fun :lol:  :lol:

Honest Hansk,

The bus was a true right off.  the frame is virtually non exsistant.  The nose had been hit, repaired, and hit again. (very ugly).  the front floor was all but missing on the passenger side.  The window frames all rotten.  The driver side had been hit T-bone style.  then sheet metal bondo'd and fiberglassed on.  The redemming qualities of the bus were the roof was straight. the passenger rear panel was unmolested.  And the glass was good.  That's about it.

I love my Type 2's as much as the next guy...... I wouldn't have chopped up a '64 walkthrough if it had been salvageable.  Pieces of it shall live on in my '59 double cab, a friends '66 double door panel, and perhaps OUTKAST'S '57 kombi.

:lol:  Okay ,  I feel better now .  I think I'll be ok  :lol:

But you know, 20 years from now ,  guys will be paying big bucks
for stuff like that.
20 years ago I was throwing away :(  cars way better than what I
would fix these days.
