Title: Split Bus pricing
Post by: Rikrand on October 29, 2019, 11:53:10 AM
What is the best way to come up with a value/price on a split window bus?
I am contemplating selling my 1967 13 window.

Look at the Samba, see what been there for sale for a while. and know that they're asking too much!  You can't give a generic value without knowing the history of the work done. Original paint and matching motor, higher value than not.  Lots of rust repair although now looking nice and shiny  to me is only as good as the photos from what it was like before, or the work in progress. In general, they seem to be dropping in price right now as a few that are for sale in the $30K range would have been snapped up at $50K a few years ago. Gone are the days of a $5000 bus, although if it's not a roller or driver, prices come down. Customized, lowered, nicer motor, all add to (or subtract from) the price, depending on the buyer. Post some pics, i'm sure you'll get opinions. ;)  ,
