Title: Early Type 3 Ball Joints?
Post by: wayner on August 19, 2004, 01:35:44 PM
I have a dune buggy built on a type 3 chasis.
I just purchased it and am trying to source parts.

They type 3 has a vin # 00282-29
The buggy is registeres as a 1960 but that doesn't sound right for a type 3.

In any case, I need ball joints and wheel cylinders.
Is there a difference between 1962 and later models?

-how can I tell what I've got?
-wich parts fit or where can I get them?

So far all I have seen in type 3,  63 or later parts and I suspect mine might be an earlier model.

Thanks in advance.

T3 balljoints are the same 61-63 and then they change to the larger late ones for 64-72
I used the large ones on my 63 as small ones were not avail, They work fine.
