Title: Carb Help.

so i finaly got everythign wired up. and then replaced the fuel pump. and i have spark. then i find out the carb is shot. but i do have a webber carb that was on a 2.0L with the convertion. the manafold to use the webber is cheeper than a new carb. and may give me some mutch needed power(its a baja with big rear wheels) but am i going to have to get the carb re jetted??

i won't be able to answer the carb question but if you had some more info some one might be able to help.
what size carb?
what size engine is it going on?
hopefully some one can answer it for you after that

ok well last night i didnt have the carb handy but now i know it is a 32 36 dfav  weber.

and it will be going onto a compleatly stock 1600 engine

Weber Progressive??? a two throat progressive carb? that should be alright, might be a bit rich though. what type of distributer do you have?and exaust/header unit?

it has an empi 4 tip exaust. the disrtibtor im not exactly shure on.  its still got points and its vacume advance. whatever cam on like a 73 beatle.  i realy know nuthing about this engine.
