Cool guys, hope the show is a big one!
-
We will be going down with Mike in his square. Let me know when.
-
I hear that this show is going to have seperate classes for Ghias and type 3s. Not that im bitter or anything!
-
Were thinking of hitting the border around 8am.
-
We will already be staying in the States(Birch Bay). Maybe we can meet you at the first rest stop after the border. Do you know where the High School is?
-
No clue where the place is.....I'll find out.
Sounds good
-

-
I think we may be up for a cruise down for the day, let me know.

They've got a best Rat trophy.... maybe I should take Herr Pie down. Too bad my travel budget (or any budget for that matter) is totally non-existant right now

It's called "single income household" Snapperhead. Credit cards are maxxed, line of credit is gone and bank acounts are empty. If I don't worry about it now, I'll end up dead a lot sooner than I'd like. Speaking of which, any openings at the country club yet?

hitch a ride, one of us will probably stop for you.
Anyway, so whats the plan for Sunday then?
-
Ill be putting my carin the show, so I would like to leave around 7:30am. Do you guys want to meet at the first rest stop around that time?
-
tonight i am working on my car to figure out my passenger side, front wheel/rim problem since i put in the drop spindles..so i should be able to go. just have to when, and where.
looking forward to seeing you all on sunday...
haha i should put my car in the show, with under construction signs on the car....
-
Sure thing Brian. I'll meet you there around 7:30 or so.
If anyone wants to leave with us, meet at my house around 7 am.
-
looked at my car tonight. it is just the ball joint rubbing the rim..so i am good to go.
see you all sunday at 7am.
-
You are going to fix that first right James?
-
You are going to fix that first right James?
who cares? ;) he'll learn <_<
-
ouch that really hurts! :( and yes smart ass they are getting fixed...and i am learning slowly but surely, it really helps to have hans around to give him a shout when i need to.
-
Hoosier are you taking the squareback down?
-
Probably not. I blew a front tire and have a mis-match one on there....Me and D will be taking the Frontier.
-
Ok we are rolling in the van, just dropped it another inch and fixed up a few things and doh! I got to get some insurance now! Gotta go! See you at 7 am at your place!
-
So how was it? worth missing?
-
I thought it was okay for their first one. (Small swap) Had some pretty nice cars there. My fav was the all original 73 Square with delivery sticker still attached.
The mobile dyno was killer!
-
it was good for there first show, I have some pics and will probably post them tonight.
-
The bug with the T4 that got off 170 HP on the dyno was also cool!
-
i agree it was good for a first show. cant wait for next year.
it turned that entering the show was worth it. i entered purely for the "lowest non-adjustable" car, and i won. i was sitting at an 1 3/4", the guy that was closest to me was at 2 1/2. i will need to do some repairs on my beam now though...and i also won 3rd on the "semi-custom bug from 1968-79". but it also helps that there was only 3 cars in my class...the only thing that sucked was being stopped going back into Canada, and having my car searched! where the hell can you hide anything on a beetle anyways?
so all in all it was a pretty good day!
-
Yeah it wasn't bad for a first time. The swap was small. It was good for me though since I was one of only 4 sellers I didn't have much competition. I made enough to put my car on the dyno though. Rear wheel HP 125 with 133.5 ftlbs of torque. Weather even turned out great. Tim
