Title: Early '59 dove blue Single Cab *sold*
Post by: J A Red on September 27, 2017, 09:21:07 PM
As the title says early '59 Single Cab, originally Dove Blue. Has usual rust but not as bad as many. Not running, but only needs a few things to get it driving (detailed below). Has a '67 big nut 12v trans with RGBs and a fresh 1641 SP

Motor:
AE case with brand new 87mm Mahle P/C
Single port heads. sent them out to get cleaned up and checked, 3 angle grind and mild porting
all new bearings inside
Full Flow oil filter (needs oil lines to and from filter)
55amp alternator kit,
Powder coated tin
Tuck away exhaust, modified to fit.
new Clutch and release bearings and new 12v starter
Needs oil lines, fuel lines, flanged j-tubes and electrical hooked up to get it running.

Interior:
The cab is still sporting nice original dove blue paint. has new ignition, wiper and Hi-Lo switches. Nice uncut dash. Freshly upholstered seat in black. Wiper motor is still 6v and passenger side wiper connecting rod is missing. Gas pedal rebuilt. New correct year rubber floor mat.
Floors have holes, but still fairly solid.

Body:
Nose has a few dents and a little rot at the very bottom, but overall fixable.
Roof is nice, drivers door is good, but passenger door has some damage at lower corner that extends into the dog leg.
Bed has a few dents but very solid, and gates are decent.
Treasure chest floor has a couple holes in the usual places. Lower sides are fairly decent.
Underside is also decent, with just front cross member and rear jack points needing to be addressed.
Installed new front window seals, and door window felt. Have new rear window seal, and misc other rubber seals not yet installed.
Have 2 front bumpers and 1 rear bumper (bus bumper that I was going to trim)

Brakes, suspension and trans:
Brakes have all been done with new shoes, cylinders and spring kits. brake lines are all good (missing one hard line - that is on order)
Front beam is an fully rebuilt beam from another '59 and has new shocks all around. Currently sitting at stock height. Original beam included.
'67 big nut with RGBs, also comes with original '59 split case.

Electrical:
Rear tail lights are original hella glass. Replaced the inner reflective buckets and bulb holders. Bullets and tails have 12v bulbs so far.

Wheels:
comes with 4 15" wheels, 2 are on the back the other 2 not mounted. too many coats of paint on them to read the date stamp.
Also have a set new 15" aluminium sprint stars with centres that can be negotiated.

Price:
Truck and motor - $10,500USD or $13,000CDN
Truck only - $9,000USD or $11,200CDN
Not intersted in any trades unless its an authentic Meyers Manx.
Delivery to Vancouver area or Washington border negotiable.
