Title: Camping?
Post by: James Buchan on August 09, 2004, 09:38:13 PM
Cindy wants to \"get away\" for a night and go camping Aug 21st (go saturday come back sunday)...

Where is a good place to go that is fairly close (1-2 hours), and young child friendly? Also if you know rates that's cool - will be tenting.

Gotta have water - Cindy has never really \"camped\" she has spent weekends partying but this will be a whole new world to her, even if it's only one night. No biggy to me, used to go for weeks at a time without tents!

If that is the case definitely go to golden ears, Courteney was a non-camper until I converted her, spent a weekend there, they have water, showers and a decent beach, just be sure to stay in the main campground, worst cse if you have to bail your home in an hour or so.

Rolley Lake I think has 40 - 60 sites lots reserves, Golden ears must have close to 300 sites combined lots resereved but chances pretty good showing up long as not a long weekend.  Golden ears has 3 differant camp grounds the Gold Creek one has free showers and good hiking trails to falls and along the creek about 8- 15 min walk to lake these are provincial sites. Chilliwack Lake not bad but Forestry. Hicks lake at Harrison good long as bugs are'nt out.

Hope this helps  :mullet:
