Why? A factory doghouse cools better.

I thought the same thing. But I recently sold one that came into my possession and I was shocked to see what they cost new, and even more shocked when I had people beating down my door to buy it!

They look nice. But they should be sized to the width of your motor plus you will need a new carb linkage setup. It does end up costing more for a cool factor as apposed to a cooling factor ..lol

my engine builder told me to stay away from the Porsche kit and go with the dtm shroud

there is one better than the DTM......factory!!!

so what does everyone recommend then .... the factory one is the best but what do you do if your not running heater boxes. ive heard blocking off the air isn't recommended either .

Best bang for buck and cooling is a scat 36 doghouse as far as aftermarket go.

The best "stock style" is either a modified T4 cooler and velocity ring or buy one of Concept1's new shrouds. As mentioned, larger t4 cooler, correct internal veins and velocity ring for optimal cooling.
