Title: JPEG picture files
Post by: s3racing on February 09, 2016, 02:40:40 PM
Up until recently I could post my jpeg files but apparently they are no long supported what's the difference between a jpeg and a jpg file?? Every attachment lately I've had to convert to pdf lately. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

Cheers Ren

P.S. Wanted to post up a picture of my engine as it waits for the Dyno :-(

not sure whats up, or what you're using (mac, pc, cellphone, etc) or if you recently did any software updates/upgrades...?

i am using an imac, i went to your build thread, clicked on your porsche main engine components pdf link and it opened it so i could view it, then i right clicked it and exported it to my desktop as a jpeg, which saved it as a jpeg image, then i attached it to my reply using additional options > attach > choose file...seemed to work ok!

fwiw, i have never been too fond of the asf pic attachment options or gallery and always prefer to host all my vw related pics on thesamba.com and then do the old forum code : copy/paste the img link and post it right in the body of the reply...it's a little more work but i think its easier to view and the risk of a dead pic link is minimized. just my $.02!
