Well, the tech inspector made me nervous for a minute: he said that with my RLR roll bar I am required to have a head rest. He pulled out the rule book to explain. I might have to put my original '68 high back seat in next time or else buy a race seat.

Anyway, the Beetle ran a12.5 second ET for the first time, still using my Calgary jetting. Dropped the airs from 220 to 180, keeping the 185 mains.  This produced another 12.5 ET, but my 60-foots were sketchy...going sideways, spinning, etc.  Got four races in before they called it a night because of dew on the track.

Massive turnout of VW's!!!

Wow did we ever luck out with weather or what last weekend.

HUGE thanks to AVR for again having the pre mission BBQ ,thank you for doing it year after year .
It's really appreciated by everyone.and nothing beats a off the grill burger or dog and something to drink before hitting the track.

What can I say Mission was packed and what a huge VW turnout.way to go to everyone for showing up and showing or racing your cars.
Our pit area was packed and as always was to much fun with lots of laughs ,people seeking shade ,a place to sit and hang out or just coming by to introduce themselves or ask questions.

See everyone there next year
