Hey everyone lowering my 73 super got the driver side done on to the passenger side I have it all apart problem im having is sepersting the torsion bar from the spring plate.... any suggestions how I can seperate them thanks.

soak it in penetrating fluid (multiple times over multiple days if necessary). hammer on it to "shock" it loose. pry on it with a pry bar. heat the plate around the bar (not the bar itself). swear at it.
keep a fire extinguisher close by. be patient the process may take awhile.
good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I went to princess auto and bought a slide hamer and a harmonic puller set with multiple finger attachments. put it all together and was able to have the torsion bars free in about 15 minutes of hammering. just make sure the slide hammer is not pointing at your face when your pulling on it....
