Title: looking to get my 73 bug running right

Ey everyone name is paul new to the forjm. I was just given a 73 super beetle from a buddy. Long storry short I got the bug running but very rough. Thebgenerator light comes on and off, when I accelerate she bogs and dies. What I am looking for is a reliable and good mechanic or shop too fix her up snd get her running right. Thanks a lot
