Alohas,

Just wanted to say that this is pretty sweet forum.  I just found it today and have been lurking around.  That's pretty much all I'll be doing for a while, as I sold my soul (sano '67 sedan) in March to fund my wedding.  But, I just graduated from Univ. of Hawaii and soon I'll be able to start saving some cash to get my next VW addiction fix.

Oh yeah...to the guys at Airspeed...you guys put together some of the coolest old skool VW's I've ever seen.  Really unique in terms of the details and schemes that you come up with.  Keep up the awesome work.

Hey Joel,
Glad to see you come on board. Weren't you coming up to this neck of the woods for your honeymoon? If I remember correctly you were studying Religion at University right?

Aloha James,

Yup, I was supposed to come up to Vancouver island for my honeymoon, but the grim financial reality of student loans has hit home.  We're going to postpone our honeymoon while we save up to have a really good trip wherever we go.

And, I graduated (finally) with my degree in Religion from UH, focusing on Japanese religion.  Okay...everyone wake-up now!

So anyway...I'm kind of floatin' around right now trying to find a job here in Honolulu (they're non-existent).  I'm going through the application process to be Hawaii Five-O, and if that doesn't work out I'll probably be on my way to serve Uncle Sam (he'll repay my student loans).

Somewhere along the line, I'm gonna pick up another VW.  Looking for a low-light Ghia to make an old skool, rat-rod type of creation.  Or a nice Oval (call them Baby windows in Hawaii) will do as well.

How's the new job as a Father going for ya?

I knew it was you, Fatherhood is everything I thought it would be, I LOVE IT!!!! When you say work for uncle sam do you mean military?

Aloha,

For some reason the photo isn't showing up for me.  Maybe its my antique computer.

As for working for Uncle Sam, yeah, if I can't get in with HPD I'll probably go work as a linguist for the Army.  Gotta make ends meet, ya know?
