Title: anyone ever found a good vinyl dye?

I have a white headliner and would like to go black..sem makes a good spray but lm looking for brush or sponge on. Any ideas?

havent done with dye but lots of other stuff i didnt want to spray.....Take the aresol can and flip upside down and spray to remove all the propellant then you can cut the top off the can or just ram a screwdriver in and drain into a container then you can brush or wipe to your hearts content.

have fun, I've had very limited success with vinyl dye in past...works ok changing shade a bit but you are trying white to Black?  can't get much harder to cover?

Never done this before, but if you prep it properly the dye should work pretty well since its on a area that is not being sat on or used in any way. Make sure you have a good respirator cause that stuff cant be good for ya.

SEM makes a good product. I believe Lordco carries it. Why do you prefer the brush or sponge?

Hard to spray a headliner in a car with a complete interior. My own fault for not doing it while it was in a million pieces. Worse trouble now.. engine failure yesterday
