Hi Doesn't need to be a working carb, but prefer one that is a least complete, I wish to disect one for possible modification, and need a dummy to chew up first so I don't trash a good working one :o)
let me know what you have
Thanks
Darren

I have a few that I've pulled off running engines. Do you want:
Germany
Brasil
or Mexico?
You'll pay more for Germany. :)

I've got a few too

kroc, please post what you do with the carb for mods.....I fought one for months on that manx I did. seems these carbs are extremely sensitive to non stock modifications! never got it 100% and would like to re visit for new owner

Josh what did you try to mod? And what size motor?
Dave thanks I will take whichever you want to get rid of.
Bruce you too The more the better.
cheers

motor was a 1776 with stock cam. everything I read told me those carbs have a real hard time running right without the right dizzy...The dual vac can diaphragm was pooched and of course only other one I had was a 009
I rebushed the shaft first, ultrasonic tanked it and tried opening up the venturi a hair on the lathe
nothing I did got rid of this stumble it had any time you tried to lug it at all....to me it felt like fuel was falling out of suspension or something? say cruising for a while at a constant throttle and if you tried to roll into it a bit more or doing a California stop it would fall on its face unless u punched the clutch and gave it a blip, cleared right up

The 009 probably had a lot to do with it, when you increase the vent size ( which is a must for the 1776 )the vent needs to be at 28mm...you also have to change the idle jet, main, and air as needed. ( trial and error )
Also fuel pressure must be checked and not exceed 2 psi. Most aftermarket mechanical pumps put out way too much pressure.
Cheers.

x2 on the fuel pressure,it seems to now be a crap shoot to get to spec with the variances of new/old/factory/aftermarket mix of parts (had 11 lbs on one!)you know nothing without a good gauge. cant help but think CBs new black box might be the answer to make the distributor work with the carb(s) especially with stock configured large displacement motors . might even save a few 009s that have dubious curves.

Hey Darren. I have this one. If you want it you can have it. I can ship it collect via greyhound
Let me know. Was going to throw it out

fuel pump shimmer to 2 psi and checked with a $20000 instrumentation calibrator machine. I did try it with a couple different dizzys... think I left it with a single vac can one? knew the 009 wasn't ideal. everything I read online (i know 80% is bullshit guys just repeating shit they heard then get the details all messed up!) told me that that carb NEED the correct dvda dist to get right....something to do with all the emissions controls being brought in that era

stock motor challange will never be the same .
running the carb on the test motor under load with the wideband data loger should give a good view of idle to progression a/f as well as help with timing and richness of the pump shot
i like these kind of projects always fun
