says it's a canadian model. looks like no headliner, or chrome trim on the dash. I call BS on the steering wheel and license light. The vents look painted instead of chrome, but that could have been done by the owner?

Absolutely they made Canadian Standards in 66.  In the early 70's I had a 65 with the bat wing steering wheel, painted vent windows and small license plate light.  There was a 66 Standard for sale around the corner from here many years ago and there was little change from my 65 as I recall.  Almost bought it but the 73 Standard I currently have came along. Still with the swing axle and painted vent window/posts.

On a further look at the ad I see that there is no chrome strip across the center of the dash (deluxe model) and no chrome ring around the speedo.  Someone has added a gas gauge.  Standards did not have a gas gauge in Canada until later.  Hard to tell but it appears that there is no angled passenger footrest.  My 73 doesn't have that either.

Yes, my car is a Custom, the gas gauge was a dealer option, I was told.
Does anyone know where I could get the driver and passenger side black moulding without the chrome?

I call BS on the steering wheel and license light.

A friend of mine had a 66 CDN std. His also had the oval wheel and the earlier deck lid light. Also had the 1200 badge on the lid instead of the 1300.
