Has anyone had any experience in shipping stuff to the States and then they ship it back to you. I want to send my engine block down to Brother's machine shop for some work and then have them send it back. I've heard that you must notify customs as you don't want to be charged for duty for the whole item rather just the custom work that was performed. Is there a form to fill out or what?
thanks

Yes, I did this when I sent my Fuchs to Al Reed and also when sending my case to Brothers. Go to your local customs office and they will have a form you fill out. You must have the part #'s or serial #'s of the parts you are sending so they can be entered into the form. When getting my wheels back they still charged me duty and tax on them but I had the form filled out and they refunded me eventually. The case was no problem though.
