First off, Thanks to everyone who made it out and supported us for this years event!
We had a record number of cars in the event and are very happy to announce we will continue to host the GCVWs at Concord Pacific.
Our magazine/web event coverage can only be as good as the info we get from you. Please take a few minutes to share your Friday night race times with MPH, fun facts, cruise info, club info, what ever it may be. This way we can pass along the info to those who be and get as much correct details in the features.
The registered car count was well over 300
Westjet raised $1515.00 for the VFD charity with The Martin Family winning the two tickets.
The GCVWS raised a large sum for the firemen as well, we should know soon.
We gave out over 110 awards this year.
We had just over $5000 in door prizes
The top awards will be posted here soon.

after missing the 2012 show last year completely it was great to come back in 2013 and be apart of the great Canadian weekend .
this year the Martin family did very well on and off the race track and i cannot thank all involved enough as i know the amount of energy it takes to to make it all happen .THANK YOU !!!!!!!
Friday drag results .
the "WOK" lowest e.t and fastest mph 10.323 sec @ 132.56 mph
thank you dvkk for the fantastic trophy and paycheck and the sharks club for the gift certificate.
it was fantastic to see so many vw out at mission and i had a great time talking to as many as i could and offering help or equipment if needed and being apart of a great day and evening of racing
......during that pass against Neil about 4-5 car lengths from the quarter i torched #2 head and shut down completely and coasted through
the traps , sounded like a jet exploded in the car , so there was a bit more in it .will save that for next year .everyone tells me the car is real quiet but let me tell you inside during that pass it was a different story
was going to pull a all dayer Saturday to pull it down and patch it up to drive to the show , but i better plan came around
which was to say bugger it , leave it in one piece and trailer it in .
seemed it was the right choice
Sunday ,my Family had a great time ,great location and access was easy and smooth . thanks again dvkk members for letting my 2 girls hang at the tent with you most of the day .
The 2013 great Canadian will be a event we will talk about for years to come. luck was on our side this year and the girls got some terrific prizes in the spark plug challenge ,i kept putting money in the fireman's boot
until someone said get some tickets i believe the moneys going that way any way .well it paid of , got my arms length and ended up with a great set of headphones and a Kenwood remote amp.very nice .
having kids everyone can understand they clean you out , but Sherri somehow collected 5 bucks and got a ticket for the west jet draw .
it was the smart move of the day and i wish i had a camera on her face when her name was called as the west jet winner .
unbelievable !!!!
from the "WOK" and all the Martin family ,THANK YOU !!!!!
