Title: cool old picture
Post by: Alp on March 12, 2013, 08:00:55 AM
ran across this one today.  I hve done something similar one time.  My 1 ton dually was dead and I needed to get to Mission for a race so my 74 westy towed my fully loaded 24' race trailer!  Glad it was flat and easy.  Was sweating bullets when I went passed the scales....

That's a great way to get a trailer nice and low.

I always wondered where old bed frames go to die.

I was more interested in the car, than the trailer.
Anybody recognize what kind of Porsche that is?
Nine zero something? 904? 906? 908?
What ever it is, it's a collector item now.

Looks like a 906 to me.

Porsche 904 had a small vertical glass window, the 908 is way different.

That is a lowering trailer. The spring system surrounds the tires and can be cranked down to put the tail end right to the ground. They didn't pull very well and were very heavy for the size. Very ingenious design though.

I think they were called E-Z-loader.
