Title: dropped/notched spring plates
Post by: main66 on February 24, 2013, 01:53:20 PM
So im looking to either drop or notch my spring plates. Found a few threads on the samba on how to do it, dosent look all that hard. Does anyone know how much it will weaken the spring steel after welding it? Also does anyone know of any companies that make a dropped spring plate? I found one down in the states but you had to send them your core, so they could cut the splined piece off. Seemed kind strange. If any one could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheer,  Rob

The most I go is an inch, as for the material.... They are not spring steel.
