Post by: Stevie on June 18, 2004, 08:37:59 AM
Hey everyone
i need to find a good strong engine
but heres the catch, i have not a lot of money.
tthats why i only want a long block cause if i were to get an alternator or anything else it would be a waste of my money cause i already got all that.
the engine needs to be for a type 1, and needs to run strong as i won't be able to afford repairs.
thanx alot and looking forward to some replys have a great day :)

You might want to look at just rebuilding your old one. Probably run you about the same....just a thought.

well first off i don't have the knoledge to do it,
and i need an engine fast,
my old one seems to be knocking as if somethng is loose so i'm not sure how much internal damage there is.

yeah but i don't need a complete engine.
only the longblock and the only other one is a type 3
i don't want to make any modification to any of my cooling tin
so a type 1 would be best candidate.

I've got mine, 500 miles on rebilut 1641 T3 case. I know you said you don't want to modify tin, but it isn't hard. you only need a small hole for the dipstick adapter.

well the reason i don't want to modify tin is cause i only need this engine for a couple months and then i'm gonna be trying to build up something a lot bigger with a lot more power. and i would like to keep hole-less tin.
and i doubt i could afford the engine anyways.
but thank you..
