Title: Dave's notch update
Post by: Porschedave on November 11, 2012, 08:09:08 AM
Greetings
I have been working on a 1965 notch for many years. I bought a notch from my friend Dave, who had bought it from Geoff, and wanted to restore it for my son but then it turned out to be very rusty -and I mean very rusty. I ended up buying a partially completed notch shell from Bruce and that became my son's car. So back to the original notch. I work on this perhaps one day a week so after 5, or is it 6 years, it is finally getting close. So close in fact that I thought that I'd share the latest efforts with the local VW community. This movie was taken in the back alley - probably the first time this car has driven under its own power in 20 years. What a hoot!!!

I love seeing these cars back on the road after so many years. Most would have parted it out, great job on a beautiful notch Dave!
