taken from the Vic VW site. Great vid showing Gavins current split 21 years ago in Black.... Mirko's car and a few others!

pretty cool seeing that footage from way back, looks like the scene was doing ok!

so...was mirkos old car the fully showed out black "baad 55" and is gavins car the black split parked beside it? or...?

At the time the black oval (not bad 55) shown was Derek Devisons then later Mirkos. In the vid Derek drives past in black oval followed by Mirko in the Burgandy oval.

baywindows and supers weren't cool back then cause they were still too new,at least thats what i was told in 1993.  and to think that split window was "only" 40 years old

The split retained a lot of the "Island Look" goodies when I got it. Might even still have a few in the trash pile if you need em for the next project Shmirko...
