FYI: Two new heads being produced by JPM. The MS250 flows 250 cfm or more, and the MS320 flows 320-337 cfm. Ten cooling fins for street driving capability, to go with the drag strip:

The MS230 heads are fine for the most part for street and strip, however, JPM says I need to run higher compression to get the most power from them (I'd have to notch the pistons even more). These heads do run very cool on the street, with my current 10.7:1 CR and premium fuel, but I'm still thinking about whether to run 11.5 or 12:1 CR next year.
I might get them ported this winter, as the stock MS 230 port isn't overly large (it's a trade-off between velocity and port size, I guess). Having said that, some of the Scandinavians are running low-11's in street Beetles with these heads out of the box, so it's down to the tricky business of dialing in each combo correctly.
