hey shane thats a torque curve wheelie, you can see where the car starts too build power.NOW YOU NEED WHEELIE BARS AND A WING !!
mount your camera in the car and take me for a pass i need more insperation.
good work from all club members.
---p.s how is shane and the rat rod motor doing?

Shane is missing the \"ROD\" part.. he needs 1 rod and cant find it...gonna have to buck up and take a whole set....

Yes, Funny you should say that... After that run we seemed to have a breif discussion about wheelie bars.
I need to find some that dont alter the apron.
Honestly, I think I need another car to race in...Can you imaging that engine in a 1400lb car?? I see 9's.

This racing thing is addictive ..... and is about to become more money than I wanted to spend....(NEW CAR)

But for now until you get the \"WOK\" out there, I might just sit back and enjoy what I have done. ;)

sure is easy to want more :o

I will figure out a mount for the Camera and do that once

i believe you can get a rear mount from berg's that will allow you too clip on a set of wheelie bars without any body modifications.
looks like you are at the point of deciding if its a street car or a strip car.
i think now that you know what it can do at the track and on the street, you may have the best of both worlds. speed is addictive for sure.but so is having a good time with your friends.looks like you are on top of that.
my feeling with my car is it is a CAR , not a master piece for viewing only, for me i will race it and enjoy it,with a few quick mods the HULK can do both, adjust boost ,clip on wheelie bars and bolt on wing, maybe a parachute next.[ha haha] i figure if you can transform your car in a 1-2 hours for track use ,thats great .don't put the HULK to rest its too soon

pointblank,

There is a guy here in bham that has a drag bug to sell.  wants a grand for it.  It was a vert', top is chopped, and windshield is chopped as well.  everything is filled, has a glass one piece front end and a glass rear decklid.  full roll cage, nice paint job, seat etc etc...needs a motor/tranny.  not street legal.  It was a 14 sec 1835 bug here in the late 80s/early 90s....you'd def need wheelie bars in it tho'.  its super lite. gavin may have seen it.

James , I don't have a 1914.  I have what I like to call a ...........\"SS \"motor.,......\"Slightly Stroked\" :D

Ya, it's a 1904  ,( 74x90.5 ).   car is 1990lbs. with me.
weak trany so I just drive it off the line,  no hard luanches.
best et(so far) =14.75 , 89mph  , 2.0??  60ft's ,   2 years ago

And my wife drove it to work all last summer (apox 45min one way)
guess thats why I didn't get to race it last year.

Hey James ,Shane and Shane or anyone else , What are your 60ft times?

HMmmm   I've heard of guys running 1.9s 60'  on radials so if you could cut yours down to 1.9s  or even 2.0s  , that get's you into the 13's right there ;)

Oh and maybe some jetting will get ya 2 more mph ;)

When you see the rest of the Videos you will see he has alot of wheel spin.... THis was James first trek down the track ... so I think seat time will be his best friend

Well .......if I wanted to I could spin my old tires all the way through first gear, but I didn't have a back up trany ready   so I just sort of bring the rpm's up to about 3000 wait till I see yellow and just sort of quikly roll on the gas and clutch never spining a tire and ....bingo  2.0 60ft's
and .....I feel that if I could get my 1st to 2nd shift down a little better  , maybe 1.9's
just wish I was so close to 13's [_[
