The beetle is there to give an idea of the size of the machine gun.
The GAU-8/A is extremely accurate and can fire 4200 30mm rounds per minute. Weighs just over 4000 lb.
GAU-8 Avenger

-
Just over 600lbs not 4000lbs
-
oops, I see the error of my ways
the gun is 620, the complete system is 4000lbs
seemed kinda odd at first....
-
The good old days.... I'm sure someone was conceived at that show! ;)

Don't mess with these guys!
No kidding!
Amazing that cheap repro parts were around back then too, the body looks awesome but the front bumper is rusting and the running board is FUBAR.
-
its from knocking cars off the road in high speed chases, and the running boards are clearly the outcome of small feet steve, hanging out there taking shots at the badguys....
clearly
-
Burrard Inlet 1965-66..............I'm sure a few of you have owned some of these cars. Maybe that's VWShawns Blue one near the camera :-)
Looks like that ship has an Iron Cross on the funnel.
