Ok I'm looking for a restore for my son and I to do theres a 62 for sale at mertin for 4g which is to high,it has been for sale on here I think by krazyslow or at one time it was his car he posted picsof it.It has a oil leak 1972 1600 motor just from quick inspection also the heater channel have fiberglass rapped on it under back seat, patched holes behind front tires so heaters channels are rust I think so off body restore.head liner shot, seats look orig.but I dont know but need help dash sprayed flat black with rattle can.body and pan look ok from a glance. Disk brakes up front drums rear, no bumpers.Glass all clear Ithink but with the crap weather we're having how can you tell.
any adivce would be greatly appericiated it is about in the state of where I would like to work on one

Seen it at Mertins. Way to rough for the asking price in my opinion. I would agree with you that it needs a body off to fix the rust. At the asking price there are better cars out there that need less work yet can still be a father/son project with is part of your goal.
Low ball em. The saleman said they couldn't figure out if the car was 6 volt or 12 volt. Enough said.

Save yourself a headache and look for a car down south that is really dry and may need a little mechanical repairs. It will pay off in the long run
